Batten down the Hatches. Yet another few weeks of storms, flooding and bad weather have passed and there seems to be no end to it. Today winds are expected to reach 160kmph. The Storm today has been reeking havoc all over the south. My neighbors wall just collapsed while i was writing this. Cork has been hit hard again today and If its not under water its been blown away. Here are some photos of Cork and surrounding areas so far today. Photos taken from Facebook and twitter.
This is a video I came across today. I thought it was incredible the man made it up the steps at all, with the waves crashing around him. To be honest I think its one of the most ridonkulous things I’ve seen in a while. Why you and I may ask, but only this gentleman has the answer. And what was the person taking the video thinking. I cant swim myself so when I see thinks like this it makes me wonder why people go in the water at all. I am quite safe on land thank you very much.
I hope this person was okay in the end. And no search or rescue had to risk there own lives for stupidity like this. If you cant swim and watch this video get out the arm bands as your gonna want to learn 😉
I had heard we were getting a bit of bad weather this evening but nothing to this extent. Over the past few hours pictures have emerged of the damage due to stormy conditions. I came home to find all my trees exactly where I left them. Not one turned over or fallen 🙂
So if you live in Ireland and have bonsai, make sure there secure and safe. And if you don’t just be careful. Here are some images today from Cork. Thankfully no one has been seriously injured.
